BRISTOL RHYTHM AFC inks Dave Neijenhuis as their next Head Coach
Bristol Rhythm AFC is excited to announce Dave Neijenhuis as the new Head Coach for the upcoming 2026 NPSL season!
Coach Neijenhuis brings an impressive background both as a player and a coach. Originally from The Netherlands, he came to the U.S. in 2020 to study and play college soccer. He spent his undergraduate years competing and studying at Tennessee Wesleyan University, and later continued both his education and playing career while earning his master’s degree at East Tennessee State University (ETSU).
During that time, he also gained valuable coaching experience with McMinn United, CESA, and One Knoxville, where he focused on player development and helping older players transition to the college level. He currently serves on the coaching staff with the Tusculum University men’s soccer program, where he continues his passion for developing players and preparing them for success on and off the field.
We’re thrilled to welcome Coach Neijenhuis to the Rhythm family and can’t wait to see the energy, professionalism, and style of play he’ll bring to the pitch this summer at Gene Malcolm.
A Message from Coach Neijenhuis:
“Hey Rhythm Nation!
I’m beyond excited to step into the role of Head Coach for Bristol Rhythm AFC. This is an incredible opportunity, and I can’t wait to get started. My goal is to build an environment where players can grow, compete, and elevate their game — all while creating an unforgettable summer soccer experience.
I’m really looking forward to connecting with the community — seeing everyone at games, events, and around town. Let’s make this a special season filled with high-energy, attractive soccer that makes Bristol proud!”
