The opening 45 minutes were intense, physical, and highly competitive, with both sides battling for control of the match. Neither team was able to find a breakthrough before halftime as strong defensive play and disciplined organization kept the score level at 0-0. The Rhythm generated several promising opportunities, but 865 Alliance did well to disrupt the flow of the game and limit clear chances.

The second half saw a different Rhythm side emerge. Determined to take control, Bristol established possession early and began creating dangerous attacking opportunities. The breakthrough finally arrived in the 65th minute through a moment of quality involving two longtime Rhythm players.
James Bakou ignited the attack with a driving run through the midfield before finding Patrick Enchill. Enchill produced a clever backheel flick into the path of captain Kai Slinn, who took an exceptional touch around a sliding defender before calmly chipping the ball over the goalkeeper to give Bristol a 1-0 lead.

The goal proved to be the difference.
Once again, Bristol’s defense stood tall, turning away every 865 Alliance opportunity. Goalkeeper Noe Delmotte and the Rhythm back line delivered another outstanding performance, preserving the club’s fifth clean sheet in five matches and extending a remarkable defensive run to begin the season.

The matchup promises to be another heavyweight battle as the Rhythm look to remain unbeaten and continue their pursuit of the Southeast Conference title.
