The Bristol Rhythm AFC came out flying and nearly opened the scoring within the first 10 minutes.  They continued to press the action and were rewarded in the 11th minute when Elliott Edwards played a perfectly weighted rolling pass to Constantine Barlas.  Then Barlas found space at the top of the box and calmly finished with his left foot to give the Rhythm a 1-0 advantage.

Greenville United refused to back down.  In the 20th minute, Hennig found Summerfield with a perfectly timed pass, and Summerfield chipped the ball over the Rhythm keeper to level the match at 1-1.

The remainder of the first half was a heavyweight battle, with both sides playing hard, physical soccer.  Neither team could find a breakthrough before halftime, sending the match into the break deadlocked at 1-1.

The Rhythm emerged from the locker room with renewed energy and controlled possession for much of the second half.  While chances were difficult to come by, Bristol continued to push forward and was finally rewarded in the 74th minute.  Nathan Booth found Elliott Edwards just outside the penalty area, and Edwards unleashed a stunning strike into the top corner to restore the Rhythm’s lead at 2-1.

Bristol remained organized and disciplined as the clock wound down, with several late substitutions helping maintain the tempo.  However, Greenville had one final response.  In the 88th minute, a free kick just outside the box provided an opportunity, and Fofana delivered a powerful effort through traffic that found the bottom corner to even the match at 2-2.

The goal temporarily silenced Rhythm Nation, but Bristol had one more surge left in them.

Deep into stoppage time, captain Kai Slinn sparked the decisive attack.  Combining with his former Milligan University teammate James Bakou, Slinn moved the ball forward before Bakou delivered a dangerous service into the box.  Hugo Martinez got his head to the ball and redirected it into a crowded area.  After a scramble in front of goal, Koke Gracia fired a shot that was parried by the Greenville goalkeeper.  The rebound fell directly to Daniel Ojeda, who reacted first and buried the winner into the back of the net.

The dramatic stoppage-time goal sent Gene Malcolm Stadium into celebration as the Bristol Rhythm secured an unforgettable 3-2 victory.

With the win, the Rhythm improved to 6-0-0 on the season, remained unbeaten, and strengthened their position atop the conference standings.
